A great choice in education for Gippsland’s young people

Gippsland Technical College (G-TEC) is an exciting initiative in secondary education for students wishing to pursue a trade career.

Our College is unique in that all students have the advantage of completing the first year of their apprenticeship whilst completing Years 11 and 12 of their VCAL or VCE.

Our distinct education and training model was developed by Gippsland’s educators, industry and community.  It offers a great choice in education for Gippsland’s young people by providing programs that are individually designed to meet the needs of students and employers.

Specialised staff manage each student’s education and apprenticeship training to maximise course completion and promote excellence.  It is our unique student mentoring and support program that defines the College and assists each student to reach his or her full potential, both personally and professionally.

The College operates on conveniently located and well-equipped campuses in both Sale and Bairnsdale.  These campuses provide education through VCAL/ VCE studies and apprenticeship training at the Certificate III level.  The aim of G-TEC is to place students into careers in the traditional trades through part-time employment with a Gippsland employer.
