Disability Action Plan - 2009 to 2012

East Gippsland TAFE is committed to celebrating diversity within its staff and student populations, and is committed to providing equitable, quality education and training to meet a variety of educational and support needs.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and as an employer, we are committed to meeting the educational and employment needs of people with disabilities and have developed a Disability Action Plan to support our organisation to fully support people with disabilities. This plan is a culmination of over twenty-two years of demonstrated commitment to include people with disabilities in all facets of our business.

The plan has been prepared after extensive consultations with current staff and students, prospective students and a wide range of community agencies. We recognises that improving access and outcomes for people with a disability relates to more than just the physical environment and is underpinned by our inclusive teaching, learning and employment practices.
