We have a wonderful team at East Gippsland TAFE.  For the last 5 years in a row, we been recognised as one of only three finalists in the prestigious Victorian Training Provider of the Year (Large)Award.  In 2006 we won this prestigious Victorian award.

Additionally, in 2006 we were a finalist in the Australia-wide 2006 Australian Training Provider of the Year award – fantastic recognition of our commitment and dedication to supporting you to achieve your goals.

Career choices for students

We offer a comprehensive range of study options across a diverse range of industries, and we focus on supporting students with achieving positive employment outcomes. Our qualifications are nationally recognised and include practical ‘job ready skills’ that meet business and industry standards.  

East Gippsland TAFE also offers many students an affordable and supportive pathway to further education. We have strong relationships with a number of Universities and other training providers (including RMIT, Monash, Gippsland Group Training, Central Gippsland Institute of TAFE, and Canberra Institute of Technology) and we offer RMIT University programs such as the Bachelor of Nursing and the Bachelor of Commerce at our TAFE campuses.

It is now well accepted that regional communities must be world competitive in order to survive and prosper. As a business in its own right, the Institute is a major employer, a key customer of goods and services, an 'importer' of students, and an earner of 'export' income.

The role of a regional institute, however, takes it beyond providing skills training and qualifications, to a position of considerable importance in the broader community.
