The Census Date is the deadline in each semester when all enrolment and payment arrangements must be finalised.  Census Date deadlines cannot be extended.

Why are Census Dates so important?

If you have applied for VET FEE-HELP you will need to withdraw from your enrolled course prior to the Census date to avoid incurring a VET FEE-HELP debt.  Census Dates are the last dates to withdraw or finalise your enrolment.

You will be liable for fees for any subject you are enrolled in after this date.

You cannot access VET FEE-HELP assistance after the Census Date.

Administration Dates

The Administration Dates are scheduled one week after the course start date and is the last date which a student can enrol. Student enrolling in Skills Deepening courses  cannot commence studies until they have paid the Tuition fee or they lodged a “Request for VET FEE-HELP Application form” with Student Services.

What happens if you decide to withdraw prior to the Census date?

  1. You will not incur a VET FEE-HELP debt
  2. Students are required to complete a ‘Withdrawal/Refund Application Form’. This form must be lodged with Student Services prior to the Census Date.

All Tuition fees will be refunded  in accordance with East Gippsland TAFE’s Withdrawal and Refund policy guidelines.
