Skills Recognition

Skills Recognition or (RPL) is a great way to fast-track a course for experienced workers.  For more information on how Skills Recognition works, click here.

Rates for Skills Recognition differ for Government subsidised places and Fee for Service courses. Below are tables outlining the Skills Recognition fees & charges.

Skills Recognition schedule for Govt. subsidised courses 

  • 1 July to 31 December 2009
  • Post 1 January 2010

Skills Recognition schedule for Fee for Service courses 

  • 1 July 2009

Tuition Fees for July 2009 – December 2009

For training and further education to be undertaken between 1 July 2009 and 31 December 2009, the following tuition fees will apply:

# Health Care Card concessions apply for Trainees and Apprentices applying for Skills Recognition.

Students who apply for Skills Recognition who have already commenced their programs prior to 1 July 2009 are eligible for fee maintenance.  These students will pay tuition fees in accordance with directions on fee maintenance (see Section 8 of the Ministerial Directions):

Fee maintenance tuition fees for 2010 are subject to indexation.  The confirmed hourly rate, minimum and maximum will be advised by separate Executive Memorandum. 

Fee for Service - Skills Recognition Fee & Charges Schedules 2009–2010

Rates will be available by Friday 3 July 2009.
