The most vital information for many students is whether or not they are eligible for a Government Funded training place.

One important change is that courses are now categorised into five groups and each group has different fees. The new course categories are listed below.

Course Categories	Course included in each category
Foundation Skills	Any qualification level - Language, literacy and job readiness
Skills Creation	Certificates I, II, VCE and VCAL
Apprenticeships and Traineeships	Any qualification level
Skills Building	Certificates III and IV
Skills Deepening	Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Vocational Graduate Certificate and Vocational Graduate Diploma

The first phase of Securing Jobs for Your Future will only affect students seeking places in Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.
